Savannah Montgomery is the average girl living in Dallas and wondering what she truly wants to do with her life. Who knew that attending a VIP event with her starstruck sister for country music superstar Kolby Teppen would turn her life from ordinary to glamorous? Now Savannah is stuck in a fake relationship, attending the industry's most extravagant events and spending her summer with Kolby Teppen...except nothing about it feels fake to her. Kolby Teppen reached a level of stardom by age sixteen that most artists only dream about. He's experienced everything this stardom has to offer except for one thing: The Golden Boot Award. It's every country music star's goal and very few artists have the honor of receiving one. But Kolby has the disturbing notion that even if he wins the award, inside, he's still feeling empty. That is until he has an unexpected connection with a woman who seems to see him for more than the fame and music. He becomes preoccupied with chasing the feeling that Savannah gives him--the feeling of being grounded. When his manager offers a plan that requires him to spend the summer with Savannah so he can win the Golden Boot, it seems like a win-win. Until he realizes his feelings for Savannah run way deeper than a just-for-the-summer fling. Now he needs to figure out if he's able to still have his dreams and his dream girl at the same time.
